Sisimiut in brief

Sisimiut is situated at the Arctic Circle. About 5,000 people live in the municipality, and the "Knud Rasmussen Folk High School", the Construction School, the INI and KNI head offices and more private and public companies can be found here.

By virtue of the recently opened airport Sisimiut has daily connections with the rest of the coast as well as Kangerlussuaq. Consequently the town is an attractive place for giving courses.

The landmark of Sisimiut is "Kællingehætten" which peak is seen here.

The area offers numerous leisure time activities - including hiking, cross-country and alpine skiing, dog sledge and snowmobile rides, hunting and angling and sailing.
