News from Oqaatsinik Pikkorissarfik 21 January 1999The interpreter and translator educationAs from August 1999 the translator education will move from Niuernermik Illinniarfik in Nuuk to Oqaatsinik Pikkorissarfik. The education has been revised and is now called "The interpreter and translator education". Students are admitted every 18 months and there is a maximum of 15 students per class. Courses in Greenlandic as a foreign languageDuring the autumn of 1998 Oqaatsinik Pikkorissarfik has arranged courses in Greenlandic as a foreign language. The teachers live in Aasiaat, wherefore some of the courses take place there, but courses are also offered for instance in Nuuk and Qaqortoq. Oqaatsinik Pikkorissarfik would like to take on an experienced teacher to take care of the Greenlandic courses.
